Stainless steel elements — frequently asked questions

What counts as a stainless steel element?

The architectural details that tie an interior together: skirtings, trims, reveals, column collars, elevator surrounds, counters and feature frames, cut, formed and finished in SS304 or SS316.

SS304 or SS316 for interior elements?

SS304 for dry interiors; SS316 for washrooms, pools, kitchens and anything near the sea in Jeddah. Both take the same mirror, hairline and PVD finishes.

How are long trims and skirtings kept straight?

They are V-grooved and folded on a calibrated press brake, delivered in lengths planned on the shop drawing with concealed joints, and checked for straightness at the post-cutting and post-welding hold points.

Can the elements be PVD-coated to match other metalwork?

Yes. Trims, cladding, screens and fixtures in one project are coated in the same PVD batch, so champagne gold, bronze or black reads identically across every element.
