Decorative screens & mashrabiya — frequently asked questions
Which metal is best for a mashrabiya screen in Jeddah?
For interior screens, brass or SS304 stainless steel give the richest look. For exterior or coastal façades we recommend SS316 stainless or powder-coated aluminium, because Jeddah's humid, salty air attacks lower grades over time.
How dense should the pattern be for privacy?
Privacy comes from the open-area ratio and the viewing angle, not from the pattern itself. Screens with a smaller open area block the view from outside while still passing light and air; we prepare a sample panel so you can judge the effect before production.
Can you match an existing pattern or a designer's drawing?
Yes. We laser-cut from your DWG or PDF drawing, or re-draw a pattern from a photo or sample. Every pattern is checked for structural stiffness so large panels do not flex, then a first-article panel is approved before the full run.
What finishes are available for decorative screens?
PVD colours such as champagne gold, rose gold, bronze and black on stainless steel, electroplated finishes on brass, and powder or 2K paint in RAL colours on aluminium and steel. All finishing is done in our Jeddah workshop.
