What is a Handrail ?
As the name suggests, a handrail is the part of the balustrade that you hold onto when ascending or descending the staircase. The handrail sits on the top of the spindles, and can also be fixed to the wall.
Types of handrail
There are two main types of handrail, Integrated and Wall Mounted, the style and layout of your staircase will determine which type of handrail works best for you.
- Wooden Handrails:
Wooden handrails can be polished to create a modern look. Wooden handrails can be carved for a classic look, or kept in a stained natural form for a rustic look.
- Metal Handrails:
Metal handrails are known for their strength, durability, design opportunities, etc. Metal hand railing can easily blend well with various architectural styles.
- Glass and Steel Hand Railings:
Modern interiors contain various attributes like metal and glass handrails, wrought iron, steel or aluminum combined with glass, etc. These features make them stunningly beautiful and offer a unique interior design.
